What Korea Dermatology Does and Does Not Accept
Korea Dermatology is an independent information site about dermatology treatments, technologies, clinics and prices in South Korea. The site does not accept payment from clinics, doctors or treatment providers for listings, rankings or patient referrals, and it does not arrange appointments or treatment. This page explains what that means in practice. It was last updated on September 26, 2026.
Readers should be able to tell where information comes from and whether anyone paid to shape it. Our central principle: no clinic or provider can pay to change what we publish about it.
No Payment From Clinics
We do not accept payment from any clinic or doctor in return for being included in a clinic list, for a higher position in one, or for being mentioned in an article. We do not charge referral fees or commissions, we do not sell or pass on reader enquiries, and we do not book, broker or arrange treatment. Clinics appear in our directories because of the public Naver Place search described on each list, not because of any business relationship.
Listing Is Not the Same as Recommendation
A clinic, doctor, treatment or service appears on the site for informational, research or comparison reasons, and its presence is not an endorsement. Being listed does not mean being recommended. The reverse also holds: a clinic or treatment missing from an article is not a sign that it is worse. What we cover depends on the scope of our research, what information is available, and relevance to the topic.
We Do Not Refer Patients
Korea Dermatology does not refer, introduce or send patients to clinics, and it does not act as an agent for foreign patients. If you contact a clinic after reading this site, you deal with that clinic directly, and nothing on this site is a statement that a provider is the best, safest or most suitable option for you. Any treatment decision should follow a consultation with a qualified doctor.
Advertising
If advertising appears on the site, it will be labeled as advertising and kept visibly separate from articles and clinic lists. An advertisement is not evidence that we have evaluated the product or provider, and no advertiser can buy a place or position in a clinic list.
Sponsored Content
If we ever publish sponsored or commercially supported content, it will be labeled as sponsored at the top of the page and will not be presented as independent research.
Treatment and Technology Claims
Clinics and manufacturers make claims about effectiveness, expected results, recovery, safety and superiority over alternatives. We treat those as provider claims, not evidence, and say so in the text. A claim does not become editorial fact because a clinic or manufacturer published it.
Price Information
Clinics do not pay us for listings or rankings, and no clinic can influence the prices we report. Every price we publish should show where it was observed and on what date. If we cannot source and date a price, we leave it out rather than estimate one. A lower reported price is not a recommendation.
Patient Reviews and Experiences
We do not create, edit, commission or pay for patient reviews or testimonials, and we do not publish invented patient cases. Where patient experiences come up, we say where they come from and what they can and cannot show: a patient experience is not proof that a treatment works.
No Payment for False Information
We do not knowingly publish fake patient reviews, fabricated outcomes, false medical credentials, invented prices, fabricated evidence or false provider claims. Information should always trace back to where it actually came from.
Research Independence
Because no clinic pays us for listings, rankings or referrals, our findings can come out favorable, unfavorable, mixed or uncertain without any business consequence. A clinic can appear in one of our lists and still offer a treatment that an article describes as poorly supported by evidence.
When Information Is Uncertain
When something cannot be independently confirmed, we say where it came from (for example a clinic website, a manufacturer or a news report) and write plainly that we could not confirm it. The aim is to keep the information as it actually was, not to smooth it over.
Editorial Decisions
What we cover depends on relevance, the information actually available, source quality, evidence, accuracy, timeliness and usefulness to the reader. No one can pay for a better position in a list, a stronger claim or a more favorable description.
What a Listing Does Not Mean
Appearing on this site does not mean a clinic is medically superior, a treatment more effective, a device better, a doctor the right choice for you, a price the lowest available or an outcome guaranteed. Each of those conclusions needs its own evidence.
Our Transparency Standard
For any claim we publish, we ask the same questions. Who is making it: a clinic, a manufacturer, a patient, a public source or our own team? What supports it, and is there independent evidence? When was it published or observed? Can it be confirmed, and if not, do we say so? Could a reader mistake a listing for an endorsement? If so, we make the distinction clearer.
Our Principle
Korea Dermatology keeps a simple line: we do not take money from clinics for listings, rankings or referrals, and we do not arrange treatment. No publication is entirely free of outside influence, so we state our position here plainly and keep this page up to date.
A listing isn’t a recommendation. A clinic’s claim isn’t independent evidence. Advertising, if it appears, isn’t editorial approval. Making those distinctions clear is our responsibility.
